Hello Again Friends of Kirk Kove
We could say old friends as this is our seventh season and most of you have been here longer than that.
It was good to see even with the price of gas and the reduced exchange rate of the American dollar, most everyone still came to Kirk Kove for another memorable family vacation & fishing holiday. We THANK-YOU for your support and for giving us the confidence to still invest in our resort.
By the time I was done storing and winterizing all of the boats last fall, we were looking at taking time off to Florida, but first Wayne & I knocked down cottage #2 and rebuilt a shell before the worst of winter set in. I know many of you loved it for what it was, I’m sure the new replacement will be appreciated even more, so #2 cottage was the first one built at Kirk Kove in 1931 one can only imagine the laughs and good times in that many years, we found carvings of peoples names from the 1940’s and some of them still come here today. Talk about lifelong memories. But that is Kirk Kove lifelong memories for many, and Claire & I are proud and pleased to be a part of it.
Now that we are back from Florida, it is time to commence with finishing cottage#2 and other renovations, some new windows and decks etc. We would like to mention that now we have wheel chair accessible cottage, giving these people the opportunity to enjoy the cottage wilderness experience.
For those of you who tried your hand at fishing during your family vacation, congratulations too many of you, there were some fine catches and we do appreciate your conservation efforts.
Look forward to seeing you all again this season.
