Hello all of you from Kirk Kove. Claire & I hope all is well with all of you, and we are looking forward to seeing you all again.
Claire and I have just returned from Florida for some time out, some golfing, deep sea fishing and generally taking it easy in the sun.
The year 2012 is a big one for Kirk Kove. It will be the resort’s 80th year in business (since 1932). We would like to invite anyone with vintage pictures of vacations past to forward them to us and we will display them on our website as well as the store wall. We would like to put the thought out there, if there would be any interest in people writing a short story of their memorable experiences of Kirk Kove and possibly putting the stories into a book format. Kirk Kove has a rich history.
Claire and I are celebrating this year our 10th Anniversary at Kirk Kove, it’s been a memorable and enjoyable experience for both of us. I am sure we could write our own book. We have met many great people and will enjoy a lifetime of memories.
As always, the renovation are on-going; new deck on C7, new flooring and update of bathroom of C18, and a large reno on C8, hopefully we will have enough time to touch a few others.
There are proposed changes to the Walleye regulation for possibly 2013. I see this change as a positive to ensuring even better Walleye production for the years to come.
There is an opportunity for everyone to fill out the survey for these changes. The more public input the better. Four Walleye may be taken in between 16”-20” .The theory being the females grow so much faster than the males, the females will not spend much time in the size zone.
To participate in the survey visit the Fisheries Management Options Questionnaire:

(and it must be done by April 16, 2012)
We look forward to seeing everyone this year!
See you soon,
Jim & Claire
