Hello Kirk Kovers we hope all of you are doing well and are looking forward to coming back to our paradise. It will be good to catch up with you and see what’s new with everyone as well.

We currently are updating our brochures and website, we are going through all of the pictures on our web site. So many good memories and lots of excellent fishing in the last 9 years we have owned Kirk Kove.

Last summer we had a small gathering in the pavilion to honor Bob Fast who has been vacationing here consecutively since 1938. We consider Bob to be living history. Always a joy to speak with and relive times past, a real gentlemen. As it happens the next day he catches his all time largest pike, over 40 inches. Congrats Bob!

As always the renovations and updating never stop at Kirk Kove. Last fall we modified the entrance and added a deck for ease of access to our wheelchair accessible cottage. Also we installed a fiberglass shower unit with a built in seat and also for ease to go boating, we also widened dock, these modifications should add comfort and safety. With these upgrades Kirk Kove Cottages is considered wheelchair accessible with support.

Currently we are renovating cottage #3, a total rebuild knocked down and started over again. The original building was built in 1938 the depression years, needless to say it is time. I am sure for those of you who rent this one it will be appreciated. Depending on our time constraints we hope to touch on a few other cottages.

Unfortunately we have been so busy upgrading our resort, we have overlooked taking many pictures to put on our website, this will be rectified this year.

Last year we added another cottage to our resort, we are currently upgrading it as well and it will be made available as a rental this summer.

We have made a donation to our local fur trappers association, which holds a one day winter fishing derby every year. Money raised is used on local conservation projects. Last year their efforts concentrated on enhancing the walleye spawning beds to the west of our resort. Their efforts I am sure will be appreciated by all of our walleye fisherman.

This year we will have added Wifi with a router in our pavilion note (will not be available for download of music, games or movies).

As always we appreciate all of your efforts to recommend and promoting us here at Kirk Kove.

This is our number one source of advertising next is our website. Without your efforts these renovations would not be possible, as our funds would be spent on other forms of expensive advertising with uncertain results.

Look forward to seeing everyone in 2011!
